El Tioga this Friday, April 12 will be sponsored by the Kindergarten Learning Center. Once again, James’ mom volunteered to prepare the entire meal. Thank you so much Sara!!
The menu is:
Spaghetti with Meat-sauce or Butter
Garlic Bread
Caesar Salad
Cake Pop
The cost is $5/ student
Please send your child with the money to school Friday morning. NO IOU’s!

Baskets from Big Event Concessions Sale

We have several baskets that were used to sell concessions during the Big Event. If you are missing your’s, please feel free to come pick it up.

Program with RFOV on Monday April 29 (No school that day)

Hello parents of 4th – 8th Graders,
As you know Friday, April 29 is no school. We are happy to inform you about a great opportunity for a “trail day” with the Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers. RFOV will meet kids here at CCS at 8:00am and bring them back at 2:00. Please let Sandra know if you would like your child to participate (first come first serve). They are able to take up to 15 students (4th-8th graders). Fill out the attached waiver and drop it off at CCS. The other attached form will give you information about what to bring. Let me know if you have any questions.

WED., APRIL 10: PARENT COFFEEHOUSE ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND INTERNET SAFETY. 5:30 pm at BMS. A showing of the social media documentary “Like” will be followed by a guided discussion on internet safety with digital forensics expert Lee Damuth. “Like” addresses the impact of social media on our lives and the effects of technology on the brain, while Lee Damuth has vast experience dealing with the legal impacts of inappropriate online behavior in adolescents. Parent Workshop on Bullying

THURS., APRIL 11: PARENT WORKSHOP on BULLYING from NO BULLY. 6pm @ BMS. This evening is specifically for parents and guardians and continues the staff and student training we’ve done on bullying this year in collaboration with the organization No Bully (Nobully.org). Come be a part of the solution!  Student bullying and conflict are persistent challenges in every school, causing students untold suffering, marginalizing diverse youth, and impacting the ability of our children to succeed in their careers and future relationships. At this workshop you will: Get up to speed on the new face of bully prevention in our school;  Learn how to bully-proof your child to succeed in their friendships so that they are neither a bully nor a target; Develop skills to coach your child through the inevitable conflicts and bullying of childhood and adolescence; 6-7pm, BMS Auditorium, FREE.

Stranded Bike at CCS

Is this your bike? It has been at CCS for a while. We’ve spoken to the Carbondale police and they will pick it up next week. If it is yours please claim it by Monday, April 15th.

2019 Program Registration Is Open!

This year we are offering the same great programming at Snowmass Recreation Center, featuring mountain bike camps for 1st – 6th graders. All camps start the week of June 10th.
Specialty teams offerings to include:
Race Team (for high school riders)
Freeride Team (for high school riders)
Girls’ Team (for female riders grades 9th-12th)
Junior Development Team (for 7th & 8th grade riders)

SHEredders (for female riders in 7th & 8th grade)
