The gorgeous field of greens growing at the Rock Bottom Ranch. Highlights:  We really enjoyed meeting with the families that had conferences on Wednesday.  It was exciting for the students to show you all of their hard work.  We also had two wonderful field trips to Rock Bottom Ranch and Aspen Tree.  The kids saw pigs, chickens and a beautiful green house at Rock Bottom Ranch.  They ended the tour with making apple cider with…

Maroon Bells

Highlights:  We had an incredible time on our field trip to Maroon Bells.  The weather was perfect.  We learned a lot about beavers from our friend Phoebe from ACES.  With the help of props the Ks  watched Logan be transformed into a beaver. They went on hunt around Maroon Lake and to their delight they found trees that had been cut down by beavers, a big beaver dam, and even a beaver lodge.   Language…

It’s fall!

Highlights:  It has been so fun digging potatoes with the 5-6th graders.  The Ks have dug up, washed and dried a lot of potatoes from the garden. We are excited to make Stone Soup! Language Arts:  The Ks have been practicing stretching out their sounds to make words.  We have been playing with the AT family (cat, bat, rat) and AP family (cap, tap, sap) as well as stretching out longer words using a resource.…
