In Denver

Most everyone is sound asleep after our journey to Denver, being guided through Train Museum, attending the Buckhorn Exchange, and swimming in the hotel pool.  Tomorrow we will tour the Mint, Capital Building, Library, and Spaghetti Factory! It is such a great trip, thanks for sharing your kids!

Tree Planting

In cooperation with the Independence Pass Foundation, all 5th-8th grade students had the opportunity to explore the forest ecosystems around Difficult Campground, then to plant trees along the higher elevations of the Pass. This was a great culminating activity to observe and apply the forest health concepts we’ve been exploring this past month. Huge thanks to Karin Teague, executive director of the Independence Pass Foundation for coordinating this event.

This week we read a chapter from the book Outliers, then watched a movie called 1-of-1 Genesis, an ESPN film from their 30-for-30 series.
