“Bad” Weather?

Last week the 5th and 6th graders were camping on Independence Pass and Chapman Reservoir.  It was cold, rainy, and snowed a little (up the pass). The nights were long, mornings frosty and the sun eventually made an appearance.  Students did a service project, rafted the Colorado, rock climbed and huddled in their tents. According to Carol Dweck, author of the book Mindset, “What you believe determines what you achieve.” Self-reflection about thinking patterns is an important strategy for improving achievement and self-confidence in both academics and extracurricular interests.
