ACS Gets the Blues

  On Wednesday, New Orleans performer, educator, artist, storyteller and blues man Spencer Bohren spent the day at school. Spencer used his mastery of storytelling, skills as a musician/historian to hold our community in a blues infused spell. The 5-8 students enjoyed a 60 minute history of American music which traced the evolution of a single song from its conception as a slave chant all the way to Chuck Berry, the Rolling Stones and beyond.…
