  Snow is here and school is humming along. We practiced an all school safety drill this week.  It was a “Lockout”. It lasted 10 minutes on Thursday morning. It all went smoothly. We went from hot sunny 90 degree days to snow overnight!  The birds in on the mesa were all acting crazy and the students rescued a few that were dazed and disoriented.  Soon we will return to a beautiful Indian Summer before winter really gets here. Traditions are holding on at Aspen Community School!  With so many changes it is nice to know that some things are staying the same.  Eighth graders still lead the school.  Each Friday at All School Meeting one eighth grade gives a personalized graduation speech.  Eighth graders will give panel presentations at the end of the year including the important “Who Am I” paper.  The 2020 graduates will all get their portraits taken professionally at school […]
